References We have received such moving letters from some of our dear guests that we have decided to share them with you too. Below is some of the first written feedback that we have received. ================================================================================== 21st August 2009 Zsuzsa Harsányi’s letter The BIOHÁZ in Sárospatak Over the last 15 years I have spent extensive periods in India. It was the enchantingly rich culture of this continent that attracted me. South India is the only area in the world that was never covered by sea and thus its culture stretches back for an unbroken period of 4000 years, to the time of the Vedas ( 2000 – 500 B.C. ). It is from this period that the Ayurvedic system of healing developed that is the primary treatment system to this day in significant areas of the world (Central and South Asia) along with numerous followers in the western world too today, particularly in the United Kingdom, the USA, the Netherlands and Germany. The system aims at the holistic treatment of the person’s health with the reestablishment or continuation of the body-mind-spirit balance. To this end the first great medical science book about the healing science of Ayurveda was written in the 19th century by Charaka Samhitta who lists the healing properties of over 700 herbs and 64 mineral elements along with the use of delicate oils, massage, yoga and meditation. Ayurvedic science became the base for Egyptian medicine and subsequently that of Greece and Rome from where it played an important role in the development of European medical science too. During my travels in India it was first natural curiosity that led me to try out this system of healing and then it was the fantastic effects I experienced that made me spend at least two weeks in an Ayurvedic spa each visit, or having regular oil massage with healing herbs. My aim was primarily to avoid illness, to strengthen the immune system, to increase body-spirit vitality, to stimulate the metabolism and circulation as well as to detoxify the system. I spent time in many famous Ayurvedic centres, including the famous Kerala KIRALI health resort that follows the great Kerala traditions, as well as the Delhi Maharishi Ayurvedic hospital and two institutes near Bangalore and Mysore. It was to my great amazement when I discovered that in Hungary, indeed in the place of my childhood, Sárospatak, there is also an Ayurvedic healing centre on the banks of the River Bodrog, the Thököly St BIOHÁZ, managed by Enikő Adorján. When I tried the oil massage offered in the Bioház I was pleasantly surprised. Enikő’s professionalism and knowledge gave me total confidence and the massage given by Raman P. Sudhakaran of the Kerala healing dynasty and trained in a renowned facility in Kerala not only compared with the standard of the other expensive and famous centres but actually was, in many respects, way above it. This totally positive experience was also helped by the beautiful Bioház set on the banks of the River Bodrog and the obvious healing effects of the environment. Located near the famous Sárospatak Castle where Zsuzsánna Lórántffy established the renowned herb garden in the 17th century that was used to provide the main tools in the Sárospatak hospital – the first healing centre of the city of Sárospatak. In the Bioház, the effect of the rising sun over the Bodrog, the play and reflections of light in the waters of the river and the immediate healing effect of the presence of water itself all contribute to my experience and relaxed me, allowing me to be in receptive mood for the treatments themselves. I am confident in saying about the Kerala therapist R.P. Sudhakaran that his massage technique and understanding are, from my massage experiences in India, at an outstanding level. He is also a superb yoga teacher and his methods, passed from generation to generation, also are proof of yoga practised throughout life. I feel so much healthier and more energetic at the end of my summer holidays in Sárospatak after six massage treatments and two yoga lessons that I enjoyed in the Bioház so that on my return to England where, with a strengthened immune system, I will be able to face the damp, foggy winter as well as the influenza epidemic. This was also supported by the excellent Ayurvedic healing products of the Indian Himalaya Herbals, the effect of Septilin too, that I have been using successfully for years to prevent and treat colds and bronchitis, that I was also able to get in the Bioház. I wish Enikő Adorján and R. P. Sudhakaran further success in their healing work and thank them for the great feeling and energy charging that I received during my treatments. It filled me with particular pleasure that I discovered the most recent spring of healing energies in Sárospatak, in the spring of much healing, here on the banks of the River Bodrog. Zsuzsa Harsányi OXFORD UK 21st August 2009 ================================================================================== 29th October 2009 Letter from Gyula Tóth Dear Enikő, Thank you so much for the pictures that you sent. I have printed out a couple of them and took them into the spa with me. The masseuse liked them so much that she asked for your address and the next day said she is very interested in the training course. She is still thinking about it but will probably get in touch with you soon. She also told several other patients about me and, since several people are interested, I had to give a talk about my experiences. I had no difficulty in doing this since it was such a great experience for me. My walking is much easier, my hand is looser and I feel good. Thank you so much for all that you did. I hope that next year – after a longer treatment – I will experience even more success. With thanks, Marika and Gyuszi Püspökladány, 29th October 2009 ================================================================================== 09th November 2009 Letter from M. J-né Anikó Dear Mr Sudhakaran, The way you treated me was an unforgettable experience and also long-lasting. I am so glad that I didn’t miss the opportunity and didn’t look for healing in mystical ways. To be honest, this was no hocus-pocus. The massage that you do and represent is the treasure of your distant home that you have brought here for us. Thank you for the yoga lessons too, your patient teaching. I wish you much success in the future too, satisfied clients and I hope you feel at home here in the Zemplén. M.J-né Anikó Zemplén ================================================================================== 24th february 2010 Letter from E. Koltai Dear Madam, As I think back to the warm Bio House from the cold north, back to your treatments and attention. I’m so pleased that I was able to spend some of my winter holiday in Sárospatak and to discover that spring of health on the banks of the River Bodrog. Your massage treatments were fantastic and the Ayurvedic conception of "rejuvenation massage" is true and healing too. God willing I will return in summer. I hope the masseur will be here for a long time to come. I will not be alone; do I need to book in advance? All the best till we meet again Regards to the Hindu master E. Koltai Malmö 24/02/2010 |
